The parties in the class action lawsuit Miles R. Henderson, et al., v. Lawyers Title Insurance Corp., Case No. 1:02-cv-460724, have agreed to a Proposed Settlement. Under the Proposed Settlement, Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation (“Lawyers Title”) has agreed to create a $6.55 million fund from which claims of Class Members may be paid.

You received a Notice because records indicate you may have paid some or all of a title insurance policy from Lawyers Title in connection with purchasing or selling a home in the State of Ohio between January 25, 1996 and July 1, 2008. Alternatively, you may have requested a copy of this Notice after reading the published Summary Notice and believe you qualify for class membership. The Notice is intended for persons eligible as potential “Class Members” in Henderson v LTIC. Class Members include all individuals whose rights will be affected by the outcome of this case.

The Court has scheduled a Fairness Hearing is scheduled for 1:00 PM on April 23, 2009 at the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court, during which the Court will decide whether the terms of the settlement are fair, reasonable, and adequate, and should proceed. You are not required to attend this hearing.
